About First Congregational UCC

Our church is a congregation of the United Church of Christ, a mainline Protestant denomination that emphasizes governance at the congregational level and values spiritual exploration and growth over doctrine.
First Congregational UCC is big enough to offer a great variety of small-group experiences but small enough that you can actually get to know just about everyone. We’re small enough to give visitors a warm welcome, but big enough that you won’t be identified as “new” by every single person in the building on your first visit!
Our doors have been open since 1856.
We welcome everyone into God’s family with love and acceptance. We believe that diversity enriches our lives, giving us opportunities to learn from one another.
We practice community. Following Jesus’ example, we care for one another and work together to nurture communities within and beyond our walls. We help those in need near and far. We seek peace and justice in our unsettled world.
We are a relevant community. We encourage curiosity as we support one another on our faith journey.
