Mission
Prince of Peace follows the example of Jesus Christ through outreach, prayer and pastoral care and our congregation has a strong tradition of lay leadership and service. Our members are involved in the local community as well as at diocesan and national church levels. Our priest, Pamela Shier, has recently served the worldwide Anglican Communion in the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf, Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East. We have supported many ministries over the years including Samaritan House, the Clarksburg Mission, Rea of Hope, Youth Advocate of Fairmont, the Industrial Home for Youth and Meals on Wheels. The congregation has also supported the Diocesan conference center, Peterkin, and the Leprosy Center in Rustaq, Oman, as well as the Church of the Epiphany, Doha, Qatar, and the Compass Rose Society.
