St. George's Parish is a vibrant and growing faith community located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. It consists of two historic churches, St. James’ in Accomac and St. George’s in Pungoteague. We are part of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia, the national Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion.
The mission of the Churches of St. George’s Parish is to welcome all and to help one another grow closer to God and to each other. We seek to fulfill that mission through thoughtful and joy-filled worship, prayer, study, pastoral care, and assistance to the underserved.
We are a Eucharistically-centered Christian community (gathering at Christ’s table each Sunday to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion). We are spiritual explorers, committed to sharing the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ through worship, teaching, fellowship, outreach and personal growth.
