About Cristo Rey Catholic Church

For more than 60 years, Cristo Rey has been home to thousands of Hispanics. When the parish was founded, Cristo Rey was a neighborhood parish. Now parishioners come from the entire city of Austin. Cristo Rey is still a community dedicated to celebrating the presence of the Spirit of God. We welcome everyone who seeks a closer relationship with Jesus. We speak Spanish and English and celebrate our liturgies, conscious of the Hispanic culture that profoundly affects our faith. Cristo Rey seeks to offer understanding and compassion to those in need. We want to walk with those who suffer, pray with those in need and accompany those who are lonely. We Want to be Jesus for our people. We thank God for this holy place and for over 60 years of blessings. From this place we go out to proclaim the message of Jesus. We seek to live in our daily lives what we celebrate in our liturgy. We are faithful to our baptism.

Por mas de 60 años, Cristo Rey ha sido un hogar par miles de Hispanos. Cuando la Parroquia se fundo, Cristo Rey era solo un parroquia de vecindario. Hoy en día vienen feligreses de toda la ciudad de Austin. Cristo Rey es todavía una comunidad dedicada a celebrar la presencia del Espíritu de Dios. Les damos la bienvenida a todo aquel que busca una relación mas cerca con Jesús. Hablamos Español e Ingles, y celebramos nuestras liturgias consientes de que la culta Hispana afecta profundamente nuestra fe. Cristo Rey busca ofrecer comprensión y compasión a aquellos que la necesita. Queremos caminar con aquellos que sufren, orar con aquellos que lo necesitan, y acompañar a quienes están solos. Queremos se Jesús para nuestra gente. Le damos gracias Dios por este bendito lugar y por mas 60 anos de bendiciones. Desde este lugar salimos a proclamar el mensaje de Jesús. Buscamos vivir en nuestra vida diaria lo que celebramos en nuestra liturgia. Somos fieles a nuestro bautismo.
