At Sturgis First United Methodist Church, we know that walking into a church for the first time can be a bit intimidating. We really strive to be a church that meets people where they are, whether you've been following Jesus for many years or are just starting to investigate faith. Our hope is that you will discover Sturgis First United Methodist Church in Sturgis, South Dakota to be a place where you can find community, grow in your relationship with Jesus and discover the mission for your life.
We believe in the personal, bodily and pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission.
About Receiving Christ: We believe the Biblical pattern for receiving Christ includes acknowledging that Jesus Christ is God's Son, repenting from personal sin, and inviting Christ to be Lord of your life. (1 John 1:8-9; Romans 6:1-7)
About Love: God is love. He loves us and wants for us to spend eternity with Him. He also wants for us to express His love to others by meeting them where they are in life with the message of salvation.
