About Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church

We know you have a lot of great churches to choose from in Lake City, South Carolina, and we encourage you to check them out. If in your search you find yourself on our doorstep, we will welcome you with loving arms. Our goal is to be an authentic community of believers who are learning to love Jesus and love others more and more each day. Come as you are - Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church is a friendly and informal church. There's no need to dress up, unless it makes you feel more comfortable.

We believe that the kingdom of God, already present but not fully realized, is the exercise of God's sovereignty in the world toward the eventual redemption of all creation. The kingdom of God is an invasive power that plunders Satan's dark kingdom and regenerates and renovates through repentance and faith the lives of individuals rescued from that kingdom. It therefore inevitably establishes a new community of human life together under God.

About The Bible: The Bible is God's authoritative Word to all mankind. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant. It alone is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

About Separation of Church and State: We believe that each local church is self-governing, and must be free from interference by any external ecclesiastical or political authority; that every human being is ultimately responsible to God in matters of faith and life; and that each person is free to worship God according to the dictates of his/her conscience. We further believe that governments are established by God; that Christians, as good citizens, should be subject to governing authorities insofar as possible, recognizing our greater allegiance to God and His kingdom in matters wherein human authorities conflict with clear, biblical mandates.
