The word, "search" is a verb. It's an action word. It means to go or to look through a place, an area or to examine a person or an object carefully. It even means to look at or read something in order to gain information. Searching is one of the most popular activities on the internet. In this wonderful age of technology, all you have to do is type a word or phrase into a search engine, press search and woahla! a list of what you were looking for comes up. The most popular search engine that is used today is Google. Who hasn't heard of Google right? In life, that is what we do, we search for things that bring meaning, happiness, joy. We even search Google to try and find those things that will bring satisfaction. But not everything we search for is satisfying to the soul.

C.S. Lewis wrote in his book Mere Christianity:

“And out of that hopeless attempt has come nearly all that we call human history—money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery—the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.”

Huh? You mean we are searching for everything else to satisfy the soul other than God? I mean in this day and age, who hasn't heard of God right? Let me ask you this, have you ever tried searching for God? Maybe you are searching or have searched for but given up on finding answers to some of life's most difficult questions. Maybe you are you searching for a church family to worship with or maybe you are wanting to have deeper walk with God. If so, or even if you are just interested in learning more about Seventh-day Adventists, God has lead you to us today.

In Jeremiah 29:13, the Lord says "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." God longs for us to reach out to him by faith, to search for him with all our hearts. He longs to give us eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ. When we do search for him, we will find Him.
