Welcome to Sacred Journey Church
Sacred Journey Church is a community of Christians who gather to worship God and serve each other in the greater Providence area. We are really a community of communities around the state. We are passionate classic Christian discipleship, that is being a people who love, serve and obey the Gospel. We are about caring for one another and our communities in order to nurture people into in the love of Christ.
Sacred Journey Church is a local expression of the historic Christian Church. We practice the historic Christian faith as found in the Apostles and Nicene Creeds. We are also a Church in the Reformed Church tradition.
We gather for worship every Lord's Day (Rev. 1:1) @ 393 Broad St. in Providence, RI to basically do four things. We practice (1) the apostle's doctrine, (2) the communion of the saints (koinonia), (3) the breaking of bread (Eucharist), and (4) Prayer (Acts 2:42).
Our worship and community are not limited our Sunday gathering. We seek to bring that faith into the rest of our lives. Members of Sacred Journey all participate in what we call "discipling communities." These are home based "churches within our church" where we nurture, encourage and support one another in pursuing the Gospel faithfully.
Our passion is about being faithful to the great commission to make disciples. That means we are equally committed to not only being faithful disciples, but also to make faithful disciples. We warmly invite you to explore the Gospel with us and join us in our "sacred journey" toward the kingdom.
