About Church of Our Saviour
-
Sunday worship is at 10:30am.
Church of Our Saviour is housed in a historic sanctuary that was built in 1858 and remodeled between 1890 and 1905 by the firm of Furness and Evans. Its treasures include stained glass by John La Farge.
We invite newcomers and neighbors to participate in service opportunities within and outside of our community. Volunteers may serve in worship ministries (as Ushers, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, and on the Altar Guild) and are always welcome to practice hospitality as coffee hour hosts.
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) meet September though June to share a range of education, fellowship and outreach opportunities. The group carries out its mission in service beyond our church doors, inviting collections for Blanket Sunday, United Thank Offering, a Mitten tree and educational scholarships for our companion parish in Guatemala.
Ministry teams are responsible for the preparation of meals benefitting Aid for Friends, and the coordination of monthly children's programming. Our opportunities for adult education serve to quide our continued growth in discipleship and faith formation.
Mission
Loving God, Serving Neighbor, Growing in Christ!
Description
Since 1855, the community and members of the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour have been celebrating God's love in service to our neighbors from the heart of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
Our parish house, Homestead Hall, is home to the church offices and kitchen, where we host fellowship events and church programs, along with meetings for recovery groups. Our Common Room and Reception Hall (which comfortable hosts 150 guests) feature wood trim and hardwood floors that lend an elegance and charm to our facilities, giving them a special appeal for groups renting event and reception spaces; inquiries may be directed to the church office.
