About St John the Baptist Grk Orthodox


  • Our parish was founded in 1997 to minister to the needs of Orthodox Christians on Portland's west side. The services are in English with some hymns repeated in Greek. Approximately 60% of the adults in the congregation are converts to the Orthodox Christian Faith. We value the customs and beauty of historically Orthodox cultures (Greek, Middle Eastern, Egyptian), while welcoming those new to the Orthodox Faith. Our vision is to build a Byzantine style Orthodox church and supporting facilities.

    Visitors are always welcome!
