About St. George Church

St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church is a parish of the North American Archdiocese of the Holy Orthodox Christian Church of Antioch (where the believers were first called Christians). We are located in Albany, the Capital City of New York State. The Antiochian Orthodox Church is member of the world-wide Communion of Orthodox Churches. We hope that you will visit us, that together we may offer “true and holy worship” to the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in the manner which has been done from the earliest days of the Christian Church.
We look forward to making your acquaintance, here in Albany or from afar, and to have you join us in prayer as we journey “from glory to glory” in our calling to become, more and more, faithful witnesses of Christ, who is in our midst, now and forever.
Mission Statement
We are a Parish in the Capital Region of NY State of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America, a self-governing ecclesial body of the Holy Orthodox Church of Antioch, one of the Churches of the world-wide Orthodox Christian Church. Our mission is to proclaim and live the fullness of the Orthodox Christian Faith “once delivered to the saints” and handed down through Holy Scripture and Holy Tradition.
