About Immanuel Lutheran Church
-
Immanuel Lutheran Church is a member congregation of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Our congregation was formed in 1933 and we are blessed to have been a part of Roswell’s community for over 85 years. After moving from our original sanctuary at 3rd and Missouri, we have made the Enchanted Hills neighborhood our home since 1996 at the corner of College and Sycamore. We consider it our honor and privilege to faithfully preach and teach God’s Word and rightly administer Christ’s sacraments for the benefit of our community and the whole Pecos Valley region. Please join us in hearing God’s mercy for sinners every Sunday at 9:00 AM.
Who are we?
Immanuel – In Hebrew this means “God with us.” It is the title for the incarnate Son of God foretold in Isaiah 7:14 and fulfilled in Matthew 1:23.
Lutheran – We unconditionally confess as a true and faithful exposition of God’s Word the 1580 Book of Concord.
Church – “Thank God, today a child seven years old knows what the Church is, namely, the holy believers and lambs who hear the voice of their Shepherd.” -Luther
