About Trinity Lutheran Church
-
Trinity Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Nebraska District of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. With the universal Christian Church, we confess and worship the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Being a confessional Lutheran Church, we hold to the 1580 Book of Concord as a faithful explanation of Scripture's teaching. We cling to God's Word as inspired and inerrant (2 Timothy 3:16). Through it, we learn that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but that God sent his only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to become man and reconcile the world back to God the Father through his atoning death on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:19).
We believe that it is here in the Church that Christ freely gives forgiveness to all sinners through his preached Word and his Sacraments. In Holy Baptism God washes us of our sin and calls us his children (Acts 2:38-39). In Holy Communion, Christ gives us his very body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:26-28).
