About Manhattan CRC
-
Manhattan CRC is a congregation of vibrant Christians seeking to worship the Sovereign Lord, grow in faith, and join in God's harvest in the world.
We are located in the hamlet of Churchill, Montana, about 8 miles south of Manhattan, Montana in the Gallatin Valley. Our big white church on the hill was founded in 1903 by Dutch immigrants who sought the freedom of religion and agricultural opportunity that the United States offered. Our membership of around 115 families includes people with deep local roots and newcomers to the Valley.
Our Sunday services, led by Pastor Tim Kuperus, begin at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We hope you'll join us!
Here's How We Understand God and Our Place in His Kingdom:
What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is God's inspired Word, written without error. We believe that the only way to salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ as God's only begotten Son. Because Christ has redeemed us, we are striving together to live the Christian life in the world out of true gratitude to our Savior as Lord of all life.
Denomination
We belong to the Christian Reformed Church in North America, a Reformed denomination with Dutch roots whose understanding of the Bible is greatly influenced by John Calvin. Learn more about our beliefs and Reformed "accent" of Christianity at crcna.org/welcome/beliefs.

Mission Statement
As a congregation, we will:
Exalt God through worship that engages heart and mind and is true to Scripture.
“Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise in the assembly of the saints.” (Psalm 149:3)
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” (Colossians 3:17)
Extend the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed to our community.
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
Embrace all in Christian love by opening wide our hearts and homes.
“Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up.” (I Thessalonians 5:11)
Equip members to be fully devoted followers of Christ.
“So that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith…and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12-13)
Empower people to discover and use their spiritual gifts.
“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.” (I Corinthians 12:7)
Exercise faithfulness in prayer for each other and our community.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
“Pray without ceasing.” (I Thessalonians 5:17)
