  • Dress Code: There are two approaches that people often take when it comes to deciding how to dress for church. There are those who believe we should come as we are, since God is more concerned that we approach Him with humility and freedom from worry about impressing others with our appearance (see Psalm 18:27 & 1 Timothy 2:8-10).

    Others believe that we are to offer God our very best in all things including attire, not out of a motivation to impress others but out of devotion and desire to glorify God as we come into His holy presence (see Leviticus 20:7 & 1 Corinthians 10:31).

    There are merits to both sides. At Heritage there are people who dress casually (jeans and t-shirts) and those who dress formally (suit and tie) and everything in between. It’s a mixed bag of people who seek to honor God without fear or judgement from others. However you decide to dress for church, just know that there is no reason to fear what others will think. That’s not why any of us are there after all. We’ll just be glad to see you.
