About Calvary Christian Oak Forest Baptist Church
At Calvary Christian Oak Forest Baptist Church we are a welcoming and diverse group of individuals, families and couples from in and around Jackson in Mississippi . We are committed to helping each other fulfill God's destiny for ourselves and our families so that our homes become healthy, growing and full of love. We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, both universal and local, and is composed of individuals who through faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We further believe that Christ Jesus is the Head and Lord of the Church. The mission of the Church is worship, evangelism, discipleship and the nurturing and care of one another.We believe that God reaches out to us in different ways. God is the Creator of the Universe and giver of all that is good. God is the Savior - appearing boldly and intimately in Jesus and His life, death, and resurrection - who shows us how to live, love, and be saved. God is the Spirit who makes a difference in us and enables us to make a difference in our world and in the lives of others.
About Repentance: Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Thus, through repentance we receive God's forgiveness of sins and appropriate salvation.

- Sunday School meets at 9:15 A.M. every Sunday and has classes for all ages from
Bed Babies through Senior Adults.
Short term Special study groups are offered from time to time
On Sunday Evening.
The 'Keenagers' are the Senior Adults of Oak Forest (those who are 60+ years of age). They meet on the third Friday of each month and enjoy a pot-luck dinner and a variety of programs and entertainment such as singers, musicians and speakers.
