Holy Week 2023

Holy Week is the most special of all weeks. It begins with Passion (Palm) Sunday and includes the Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the celebration of the Lord’s Resurrection). Holy Week should be celebrated as one, rather than a series of celebrations.

PASSION (PALM) SUNDAY, APRIL 2, 2023

Palms will be blessed and distributed at each of our Regularly Scheduled Masses.
MONDAY, APRIL 3, TUESDAY, APRIL 4 & WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5
Mass will be celebrated at 8:00 AM each day in St. Casimir Church.

HOLY THURSDAY, APRIL 6

The Celebration of the Lord’s Supper will be held at 7:00 PM at St. Casimir Church. During our celebration we commemorate the Last Supper when Jesus gave us the gift of the Holy Eucharist and the commandment to serve one another, which was portrayed by the washing of the feet. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place until 9:00 PM and will conclude with the Night Prayer in the Chapel. We ask that a spirit of prayerful silence be observed while in the Chapel.

GOOD FRIDAY, APRIL 7

At 12:00 PM we will pray the Stations of the Cross at St. Casimir Church.
Celebration of the Lord’s Passion will be held at 3:00 PM at St. Casimir Church.

HOLY SATURDAY, APRIL 8

The traditional blessing of Easter Food will take place at 12:00 Noon in St. Casimir Church and remain open for a short time following the blessing for those who wish to make a visit.
There will be NO Confessions on Saturday, April 8th.
Easter Vigil will be celebrated at 8:00 PM.

EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 9

Masses will be celebrated at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM at St. Casimir Church.
Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church.

About St. Casimir Church

St. Casimir Church is a diverse church family. We are a church with a great history, but an even brighter future as we seek to reach out through helping people become disciples of Jesus. We believe that our church is not just a place to go, but a people to join as a community. We welome you to St. Casimir Church in Baltimore, Maryland in Jesus' name.

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory

About Full Salvation: We believe in a three-fold salvation, body, soul and spirit through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and His redeeming Blood. By the finished work of Christ on the Cross, we are delivered from the curse and given eternal life, which provides the Christian forgiveness of sins and healing in the body.

About The Ministry: A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the fourfold purpose of leading the Church in: Evangelization of the world. Mark 16:15-20 Worship of God. John 4:23,24 Building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son. Ephesians 4:11-16, Meeting human need with ministries of love and compassion. Psalms 112:9, Galatians 2:10; 6:10, James 1:27
