About Saint Matthew Lutheran Church
-
We are a faith-based community of believers marked by the beliefs that we "believe, teach and confess" as Lutheran Christians. That is what makes us a "communion of saints" as confessed in the Apostles' Creed.
St. Matthew Lutheran Church is a member congregation of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), a confessional denomination within the Lutheran fellowship of churches throughout the world. The LCMS affirms the Bible as God's Word and the sole source, rule and norm for all faith and life; Jesus Christ is the only Savior of humankind; the gifts and Word and Sacraments as the "means of grace" through which God works faith and hope through the presence of the Holy Spirit. The LCMS is headquartered in St. Louis, MO and is made up of over 6,200 congregations, 8 universities and 2 seminaries.
