Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin is a diverse church family. We are a church with a great history, but an even brighter future as we seek to reach out through helping people become disciples of Jesus. We believe that our church is not just a place to go, but a people to join as a community. We welome you to Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Baltimore, Maryland in Jesus' name.
We believe in the personal and glorious coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with His holy angels, when He will establish His kingdom fully and exercise His role as Judge of all. This coming of Christ at a time known only to God requires constant expectancy and should motivate the believer to godly living, sacrificial service, and energetic mission. This is our blessed hope.
About The Church Worldwide: We believe in one worldwide people of God consisting of all the redeemed through every age and from every tribe, tongue and nation who possess true faith in Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament age, this faith was in God's promise to send a Messiah
About Salvation: We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God; that it was purchased by Christ on the cross; that it is received through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual; and that salvation results in righteous living, good works and biblically informed actions to bring about godly justice wherever we live.
