About Sparksville Church of the Nazarene

Warm Christian greetings to you, and welcome to Sparksville Church of the Nazarene in Columbia, Kentucky. Sparksville Church of the Nazarene is a place where God is saving, healing and delivering souls from the bondage of sin. In a day and age when the Word of God is being watered-down, it is good to know that there are people reaching out to the world with Life Transforming Truth. Changing hearts and lives through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and the direction of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
We believe that the healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus and is included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples, and therefore, to every believer. Healing is a provision of Christ's atonement on the cross and is given as a sign that is to follow believers.
About God: We believe in one God who created all things and who exists in three persons (Trinity): Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28: Matthew 316-17; John 14:9-10)
About Separation of Church and State: We believe that each local church is self-governing, and must be free from interference by any external ecclesiastical or political authority; that every human being is ultimately responsible to God in matters of faith and life; and that each person is free to worship God according to the dictates of his/her conscience. We further believe that governments are established by God; that Christians, as good citizens, should be subject to governing authorities insofar as possible, recognizing our greater allegiance to God and His kingdom in matters wherein human authorities conflict with clear, biblical mandates.
