At Lancaster United Methodist Church, we know that walking into a church for the first time can be a bit intimidating. We really strive to be a church that meets people where they are, whether you've been following Jesus for many years or are just starting to investigate faith. Our hope is that you will discover Lancaster United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Kentucky to be a place where you can find community, grow in your relationship with Jesus and discover the mission for your life.
We believe that the goal of the faith community is not to make people more religious; instead, we want to help people learn to love God more and therefore become more fully human. At Lancaster United Methodist Church, we believe that we are called to reach out to our neighbors. We want to do this both locally and globally, serving them in ways that make a difference.
About Observance: We believe that the church is governed by Christ's laws, exercises the gifts He gives through the Holy Spirit, serves one another in love, and seeks to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. We believe that the local church meets on the Lord's Day, the first day of the week, in observance of Christ's resurrection
