Warm Christian greetings to you, and welcome to Henderson United Church of the Nazarene in Henderson, Kentucky. Henderson United Church of the Nazarene is a place where God is saving, healing and delivering souls from the bondage of sin. In a day and age when the Word of God is being watered-down, it is good to know that there are people reaching out to the world with Life Transforming Truth. Changing hearts and lives through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, and the direction of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
God's gospel originates in and demonstrates the holy love of the eternal, triune God. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This one God, all-knowing and all-powerful, has, in love and grace, purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to restore His fallen creation for His own glory.
About Jesus Christ: We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, Light from Light, God from God. He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life. He was crucified as an atonement for sin and He bodily rose again on the third day. He ascended to the right hand of the Father where He reigns over all. He will bodily and visibly come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
About God's Solution: We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice, and are, therefore under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
