About Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fort Wayne
-
Our congregation is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association. We offer a warm, open, and inclusive religious community where people of all ages can meet in their search for answers to the big questions in life and work towards social justice. We seek to enrich our lives and our spirits by joining together for celebration, friendship, support, social action and service.
We are a UU community which welcomes people of all ethnicities, colors, sexual orientations, gender identities, different physical and mental capabilities, and religious backgrounds who wish to join with us in our quest for truth and meaning.
We are self-governed and funded by the members and friends of our congregation.
Our founders gathered together for the first time in 1939. They sought to bring the principles of liberal religion to the city and surrounding communities. In the intervening years, we have grown from the 27 charter members to a membership of 114 people. We are a part of the MidAmerican Region of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
