About Park Place Church of God
-
In Anderson, our church is a people who follow Jesus, who love one another, who go with our Lord to serve every week— across the street and around the world. As a neighborhood on the near eastside of Anderson, Park Place is home to Anderson University and Park Place Church of God. We aspire to be the university church with her heart in the community.
Sundays, we average 300 in attendance, but the number of people we serve throughout the week through our Children’s Center, Community Center and Farmer’s Market is so much more!
Our Vision
Experience Grace
Through a growing relationship with Christ, a confession of need and an affirmation of faith. Receive forgiveness and healing through mercy from God and the community of the people of God.
Build Community
Receiving life with others as a gift of the Spirit. Discover growth together as a redemptive body. Share fellowship in Christ with each other transcending class, group, tribe and circle.
Serve Christ
Discovering and putting into action gifts and graces as we become the heart, hands, feet and voice of Christ in our local community and around the world.
Celebrate Life
With first family and those who grow to be like family in the faith community as we: seek and follow our calling and find redemption for our past-present-future story, engaging with Christ in the workplace, school and those places we make our greatest investments of time.
Our Values
Christ-centered Spirituality
Recognizing our human brokenness, continual acceptance of God’s grace and forgiveness, transforming and empowering us to be the people God desires.
Authentic Relationships
Believing all people are created in the image of God, bringing people closer to God and each other through a spirit of non-judgmental acceptance that reflects God’s love; koinonia.
Compassionate Witness
Actively loving and serving those in our fellowship, neighborhood, and around the world; calling people into relationship with God through Christ.
Genuine Worship
Individually and as a community praising, listening, and responding to God with the whole of our lives; living daily in response to God’s love.
