If you're looking for perfect people or a perfect church, you'll need to keep looking. We are constantly learning what it means to be like Jesus and figuring out how best to encourage each other.
Like most families, we laugh and cry. We don’t always see eye to eye. Like every family, we have our moments. We always try to celebrate but sometimes we mourn. We study, grow, succeed, fail, make mistakes, and enjoy success together.
Like most Christians, we lose our faith from time to time but we get back up again and hang on to Jesus. We believe God is at work among us, and His Spirit provides guidance and strength for our journey. We gather together each week to worship and praise the Holy name of Jesus. We choose to sing a cappella with the gift our creator gave us …voices.
We observe the Lord's Supper, joining with Christians around the world to celebrate all that Christ did and is doing for us when He gave His body to be broken for us as a sacrifice for our sin.. We take up a monetary collection weekly, as good stewards our family is responsible for its bills in addition to our many ministries.
We strive for classes and sermons to be from the Only inspired Word of God.
At the front of our auditorium is a baptistery of warm water. There is nothing magic about the water. It simply serves as a grave where believers are immersed and arise to start life over. (Romans 6:3-5).
Among our many goals, we desperately want to bring honor to the one, true living God. We need to get together because we get tired and weary. We need each other to motivate us to keep going (Hebrews 10:25). We want you to feel that we need you...right now...today, because we do! It brings us honor that you would consider spending your valuable time at Fairlawn.
