Thanks for checking out Eastside Assembly Of God. Visiting a new church can really be intimidating. And while we can't take away every apprehension about attending a church the first time, we can help make your visit more comfortable. Remember every one of us had our first visit here too. You will be met at the door by one of our friendly greeters, they can help you with any questions you may have.Once the service begins here's what you can expect:
The first 20 minutes or so is spent singing simple songs of worship and praise to God. During this time there is also an opportunity for prayer and to have someone pray for you if you wish.
After the worship service some brief announcements are made so everyone knows what activities and events are coming up.
Then comes the offering. This is a time for those who value the mission of the church to support it with financial gifts. But do not feel pressured to give.
Since children are important to us we pray over them before they go to their classes.
There is a greeting time so we can see who is here; don't worry about getting around we will come to you.
The message comes next, it is important that every message at Eastside Assembly of God is relevant and encouraging while sometimes presenting a challenge, so every effort is made to include those things each time we come together.
At the conclusion of the message there will be an opportunity to respond through prayer, this is done in a very private way. It is important that you experience something life changing from God during your visit.
So there you have it, now you are an insider; all that's left to do is to walk through the doors. Remember going to church should be comforting, inspirational, and yes, even enjoyable. So we hope to see you soon!
