Prayer Tabernacle Church of Faith, Inc. was founded by the late Pastor R.J. Roff in 1965.
We are an Independent, Non-Denominational church, which believes in being led by the Spirit of God. Our headquarters is 9535 S. Prospect Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60643.
In January 2011, the late Rev. Roff's successor was revealed. Under Divine Instruction, the late Rev. Roff chose Rev. Shaunte' Brewer to carry on the legacy.
Today, Pastor Brewer remains committed to the spreading of the Spiritual Truth and seeks to reach out into the communities and break the stigma that many people, especially young people, have about church. She wants to reach out to the young generations and express the truth that it is time for us to step up. The stigmas that she wishes to break are:
The church is full of hypocrites that judge and condemn.
The church's worship experiences are theatrical performances filled with fake relationships and empty rhetoric.
The church is confined to the walls of a building.
The current & future generations are a lost cause.
The people of God must yield to the ways of the world.
