About Shoshone United Methodist Church

The High Desert Cooperative Ministries is an extended United Methodist congregation which serves the communities of Gooding, Shoshone, and Richfield in southern Idaho. Our combined mission is to be disciples in thought, word, and deed, welcoming everyone to the love of Jesus Christ. This is our website. Peruse it to get an idea of who we are and what we're up to. We are currently preparing our hearts, minds, and very lives for the coming of Christ. We anticipate the season of Christmas, while also meditating upon Christ's return to bring his perfect Kingdom. Please come join us as we seek to glorify God together, such that we might be sanctified.

While we do play some traditional music and follow an order of worship, we are intimate and informal. We seek to get to know one another authentically, and that requires us to drop all pretences. We know we are imperfect, bet we also know Christ calls us to live more fully. So together we seek God in ways that we cannot alone

Christ is calling you, for He calls to all. Regardless of where you find yourself in life, God's community is the place for you. And we know our duty to God is to welcome all with open arms, and "all" means everyone. So if you do not already belong to a community, come and hear some good news.

We don't do this out of a desire for your money. All we want is to help you and to please Jesus. We don't really ask for anything except that you come and see. When individuals choose to join us, we equip them to give through their prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness to those in need. That is who we are and what we do.
