About St. Columba's Episcopal Church

St. Columba's is a church re-plant (Easter 2013) by the Parish of St. James' in Waimea (Kamuela), Hawaii. We are located in Pa'auilo on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island of Hawai'i. We gather for Holy Eucharist every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and invite visitors and newcomers to join us for refreshments following the service. Our ministry is unfolding as we celebrate our faith and lift up prayers for ourselves and the world and remain open to the spirit of God in our midst. We are currently supporting two individuals who are seeking ordination and are enrolled in theological training in the Diocesan Formation program, Waiolaihui'ia ("the gathering of waters"), and one individual enrolled in a residential divinity school to earn an M.Div. Our Sunday worship and pastoral care outreach incorporates healing prayer as an important ministry for those who are seeking wholeness for themselves or others.
