OUR MESSAGE
If you died today, are you 100% sure that you would go to Heaven? YOU CAN BE!
I John 5:13 says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
Many people live their lives uncertain of where they will spend eternity. It doesn’t have to be that way. Below are five simple truths from the Bible that can help you secure a place in Heaven:
We Have All Sinned
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come shor t of the glory of God.”
This verse simply means that there is no one perfect. Everyone falls short of God’s perfection.
Our Sin Earns Us Death
Romans 6:23a says, “For the wages of sin is death…”
A wage is something you earn by something you do. In the case of your sin, it has earned you death.
Revelation 20:14 says, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
Not only do we face physical death, but if we die without Christ we face the second death in hell and the lake of fire.
Jesus Died to Pay for Our Sins
Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Two thousand years ago God the Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross to pay for the sins of the world. He died in your place so you would not have to go to hell.
God Offers Us a Gift.
Romans 6:23b says, “…The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Eternal life is a gift, which has been purchased for you by Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned through any works or deeds you can do. You must simply receive it as you would a birthday present.
How We Receive God’s Gift
Romans 10:9 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you are willing to call on Jesus Christ, believing that he died for your sins and that he arose from the dead, God will save you from sin’s penalty in hell and the lake of fire.
If you would like to trust Jesus as your personal Saviour, securing your place in Heaven, why not pray the following prayer:
Dear God, I confess I am a sinner. I know I deserve to go to hell, but I believe that Jesus died for me and that he arose from the dead. Please forgive me. Right now, I receive Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour.
