About Santa Cruz Resurrection Episcopal Church
-
Santa Cruz Resurrection One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic.
We belong to the universal Anglican communion.
We are Episcopalians, because our bishops are the principals pastors and also symbolize unity of the Church.
The Episcopal Church, like Jesus: Invites and teaches, does not impose the way.
Mission Statement
The Church of the Resurrection will actively participate in the community to demonstrate Christ’s concern, commitment, and love.
All are welcome!
This is our spiritual home and we hope it will also become yours. We are a community of faith, open to all who seek to develop their spiritual lives.
Episcopalians invite all baptized people to receive Holy Communion, not because we take the Eucharist lightly, but because we take our baptism so seriously.
We welcome everyone, because it is the Lord's table, not ours.
The Episcopal Church strives to live by the message of Christ, in which there are no outcasts and all are welcome. Walking a middle way between Roman Catholicism and Protestant traditions, we are a sacramental and worship-oriented church that promotes thoughtful debate about what God is calling us to do and be as followers of Christ in our world today. The Sacred Scriptures (Bible) as contained in the Old and New Testaments are our guide. We also profess the ancient Creeds, celebrate the sacramental rites and are a branch of Christ's one, holy, catholic and apostolic church.

Sunday is the Lord's Day. We follow the faith of the apostles of Jesus Christ and gather for worship on the day of His Resurrection. We proclaim the Word of God in the Sacred Scriptures and celebrate the Holy Eucharist, also known as, "The Lord’s Supper", "Holy Communion" or "Mass".
