Cathedral Music: Since becoming Florida's first Episcopal Cathedral over 100 years ago, Saint Luke's has always stood for quality worship and sacred music. Our Ministries are offered to the community not only through our regular music program with many fine choirs known the world over, but also through extra services and concerts, all open to the public and free of charge. Please be our guest! Our concert season begins in early October and lasts through the end of May. Throughout these months, special music programs are offered for a variety of tastes. The public is welcome to attend each concert or service free of charge, although offerings are appreciated. Forthcoming programs are announced through regular flyer mailings as well as a season brochure.
Look for an exciting, new concert series in the Fall 2014.
We are also the home of the Orlando Deanery BoyChoir and Girls Choir who are founded on European models and affiliated with the Royal School of Church Music in England. This music outreach program of the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke serves the community, nation and world. Creating beautiful music of the highest standards, the choirs develop musicianship, vocal skills, teamwork, responsibility, leadership, courtesy, respect for other cultures, poise and professionalism. In 2011, they were issued a special invitation and performed in the East Wing of the White House in Washington D.C. for a 2-hour concert on December 20. In 2012, they performed in England on their Anglican Heritage Tour which included Great Hall of Christ Church College in Oxford and St. Paul's Cathedral in London. In 2014, they performed in American Music Performance Nationals for Children's & Youth Choirs in Carnegie Hall in New York City and in Saint Thomas & St. Paul's in Manhattan.
EYC (Episcopal Young Christians): EYC at the Cathedral exists to meet the spiritual & emotional needs of our middle and high school youth. Our hope for all our young people is to grow their personal relationship with Jesus Christ & learn to live their life for Him. The youth group of the Cathedral designed to engage the students in their personal faith journey.
Children's Ministries:Our Mission is to invite all to know, love and serve God through Christ Jesus. The children at the Cathedral have a place to call their own. The Children's Activity Room, Children's Chapel, and Sunday School classrooms are all places of fun and discovery as children learn Bible truths. Children from ages 3 to grade 5 are welcome in our program! We have many opportunities for fun, worship, fellowship, service and education. We also provide activities for families to join together and form relationships with each other.
We are "Revealing Timeless Truth to a Changing World".
