About Calvary Chapel Golden Springs
-
Raul Ries is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Golden Springs and President of Somebody Loves You Ministries.
Calvary Chapel West Covina grew out of Raul’s home fellowship as well as his Kung-Fu studio and was soon meeting weekly at an old converted Safeway store. Calvary Chapel Golden Springs (as it is now called) draws between 12,000 – 14,000 in attendance weekly.
Somebody Loves You Ministries, directed by Raul Ries, encompasses Somebody Loves You Radio as well as evangelism, concert outreaches and film/video production.
Since their inception in 1993, The Somebody Loves You Ministries have drawn over 340,000 in attendance with some 23,392 registered decisions for Christ.
The mission statement of Calvary Chapel Golden Springs and Pastor Raul Ries is based upon Acts 1:8:
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, Hidden Manna Corporation, with the establishment of Calvary Chapel Golden Springs, ministers to those in our Jerusalem which is Diamond Bar and the surrounding communities of the San Gabriel Valley, the Inland Empire and North Orange County.
Judea and Samaria are reached through EXIT Concerts, Somebody Loves You Concerts and Somebody Loves You Radio. All of these ministries reach further a field than the immediate communities surrounding Diamond Bar and have even gone to the end of the earth through our international concerts, Spanish radio program and websites, www.calvarygs.org and www.somebodylovesyou.org.
Another branch of Hidden Manna, So Send I You Missions, reaches out to the ends of the earth. We have churches established throughout Central & South America which are ministered to through Pastor’s Conferences and Women’s Conferences.
Hidden Manna Corporation was established with the express intention of fulfilling the commission that Christ put forth to His disciples in the Book of Acts. That commission was not to end with His disciples but to go on as God adds disciples to the church day by day.
