A Message of Hope
At Hope Church Hot Springs, we seek to bring the living hope of reconciliation and the perfect rest that can be found through Jesus Christ to our friends and neighbors, through the weekly preaching of the Gospel, the administering of the Sacraments, and the discipleship of the saints, and by serving the needs of our city.
A Fractured Relationship
We believe that all of creation exists to commune with God, but our perfect relationship with Him, with one another, and with Creation has been fragmented through sin. But God, the consummate initiator, offers us perfect rest and restoration through His Son, Jesus Christ and has given us a ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:18).
A Gospel Community
We were made for community. God graciously gave us the church as a place where we grow to trust Him through loving and serving others. Because Christ has reconciled our relationship to God once and for all, we are now free to pursue relationships with others, and He is at work in us even now, reconciling our relationships with each other. By His grace, even difficult relationships can become relationships where grace, forgiveness, and mercy abound.
Hope Network
We are a partnership of churches in central Arkansas who share resources, staff, and vision in order to proclaim real good news to real people in and for real community.
Real Good News - God is more gracious than we dared imagine. The central message of the Bible is not what we do for God, but the announcement of what God has done for us in Christ.
Real People - The gospel calls us to find our primary identity in Jesus Christ, but we are all guilty of idolatry, attempting to find our identity apart from Christ. We invite all people, regardless of your struggle, to join us in processing the claims of Christ and turning from idols.
Real Community - God made us for relationships. He has repaired our relationship with Him in Christ. Now he is repairing our relationships with one another. The gospel gives us power to forgive and be forgiven. The gospel also gives us power to enjoy the beauty and serve the brokenness in our community.
The PCA
We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). There are many denominations which are called “Presbyterian.” The name is related to the Greek word for “elder” and refers to the fact that our churches are led by a team of elders, or session. These elders are Godly men who have been elected from the congregation and ordained to serve as leaders. The PCA was started in 1973 in order to have a Presbyterian denomination that has a high view of God’s inerrant Word, and that is uncompromisingly missional in our outlook to the world.
