Sunday Morning at Searcy First

8:30 a.m. "The Gathering" - "contemporary worship" in Yancey Hall (the building to the east of our historic sanctuary)

9:50 a.m. Sunday School for all ages

10:50 a.m. "Traditional Worship" – a more traditional United Methodist worship service with our Chancel Choir helping lead us in our praise to God.

Our Mission and Vision

At Searcy First United Methodist Church we are a community of Christian disciples seeking to GLORIFY God, to GROW in full devotion to Jesus Christ, and to CONNECT the unconnected. Our vision is to create a church where there is a place for everyone!

Our History

Our history actually predates the incorporation of the town of Searcy, Arkansas. Searcy First traces its beginning as early as 1836 and its current main sanctuary dates back to the early 1870s making it one of the oldest buildings in Searcy. Indeed, Arkansas obtained statehood in 1836! How’s that for some history!

Today and Tomorrow

But Searcy First is not only about history. God is doing a new thing here and now! When you come for a visit you will see that Searcy First is a vibrant congregation of committed Christian disciples seeking to live out life-changing Christian faith in Searcy, Arkansas. We have good to accomplish and Good News to share! Join us as together we work to make the world a better place! God has a bright future for us all.
