About Mission Bible Church East Valley
OUR MISSIONMission Bible Church East Valley exists to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples of Jesus Christ.
OUR VALUES
We Prioritize Expository Preaching
God has given us a book. In a world of self-help books and how-to manuals. The creator of the universe saw fit in His wisdom to provide us with a book. But unlike every other book, this book is divine (2 Tim.3:16), true (Jn. 17:17), and able to change the heart (Heb. 4:12; 2 Tim. 3:16). Thus, when we gather, we are committed to preaching through books of the Bible with the goal of understanding God’s Word and faithfully applying it to our lives.
We Devote Ourselves to Prayer
Much like our salvation, we are dependent upon God to be the first mover in eternal matters. Thus, as a church, we are committed to being a group of praying Christians. We, by God’s grace, devote ourselves to prayer (Col. 4:2) so that in everything we do, we do it empowered by His grace so that in the end, He receives all the glory.
We Engage Our Mission Field
We believe that it is by God's sovereignty that we have been born into the time and place we have been (Acts 17:24-25). This reality should spur us to intentionally engage our God-given spheres of influence (city, work, neighborhoods) with the Gospel (Romans 1:16). Thus as a church, we are committed to being a people who strive by God’s grace to live on mission and proclaim the biblical gospel so that the lost might be saved (John 4:16; Acts 4:12).
We Commit to Ministry Partnership
In His Wisdom, God saw fit that each person who is saved is to be committed to a local church. Thus, we are committed to practicing church membership, engaging in biblical fellowship, as well as identifying and using our spiritual gifts for the building up of one another in our faith (1 Pt. 4:10).
We Engage in Discipling Relationships
The great commission tells us that followers of Christ are to be disciple-makers (Matt. 28:19). Discipleship is the intentional process of laboring with someone so that they become more like Christ (Gal. 4:19). Thus as a church, we intentionally engage in discipling relationships with others to strengthen them so that they might learn to walk in a manner pleasing to Christ (Col. 1:10).
