Heartland Church of the C&MA is a multigenerational church that exists to help people find and follow God. We seek to provide a safe place for people of all walks of life to experience true life-change through authentic, biblical community with God. Regardless of your story, your doubts, or your struggles,you are welcome at Heartland Church of the C&MA in Lexington, Ohio. So come as you are. We can't wait for you to visit and to welcome you home. We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in all believers, and through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, a distinct experience from salvation, believers are empowered for Christian service, and gifted for this service.
We believe that spiritual practices like prayer, reading the Bible, participating in weekly Connect Groups, and tithing are vital to our faith. We encourage each other in this things. We believe that this faith community is a movement and will continue to plant new sites to serve diverse neighborhoods in Lexington, Ohio. Don't stop. Never stop.
About Repenting: We believe that one receives Jesus Christ's merits by repenting of sin, believing in the good news of His death and resurrection, and confessing Him as Lord and Savior. As a sign of this salvation, every professing believer is to be baptized by immersion. We believe that the entire salvation experience consists of regeneration, justification, sanctification, and future glorification. We believe that every Christian is called to proclaim this good news to the nations.
