Southland is one church in multiple locations
How can a church be in multiple locations? Does the building move around like that island on LOST?
The truth is that church isn't a building - it's a group of people that gather to celebrate what Jesus has accomplished on the cross, and scatter to tell even more people that there is hope in this life because Jesus is alive.
On the weekends we do these large gatherings at multiple locations, which we call campuses. Our weekend gatherings have a live band leading songs of worship, and teaching which is either done live or delivered via video.
But who are we, really?
Southland is a church of people who are experiencing that the best way to live life is with Jesus, in community and on mission.
We are courageous followers of Jesus who love God, love people, and prove it daily in our communities, in our city and in our world. It’s what we do, and we love doing it.
But that sounds kind of vague, right? We thought so too, so we wrote down four specific ways to help focus our attention. We call them our Expressions.
