About St. Marks Church
April 9th 1967, the people of Bethany EUB (Evangelical United Brethren) and Trinity EUB combined two great churches to become what is now St. Mark's Church. We want to continue that legacy by making sure that everything that we do is Gospel-Centered and Action-Oriented.As we continue to move into God's Kingdom reality for our people, we are transitioning to become a Global Methodist Ministry as of December 1st, 2022. Our mission as such is to Make Disciples of Jesus Christ, who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. We, as a church, take great pride in those who came before us and the hard work they put in to make us what we are today. We hope to make our community proud as we continue to be a Christ-centered community of prayer and fellowship, reaching out with the hope and love of God.

- St. Marks Food Pantry
Reaching numerous families in the Decatur community, we meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month. We have a variety of food items each donation period, as well as working in our community garden to supply fresh vegetables and herbs during the fall and summer.
St. Mark's Community Garden
The community garden is a new ministry opportunity to give our food pantry fresh produce. With the weather in April being damp and having a couple of frosts and snows, planting has been pushed back to mid or early May. If you would like to help with a workday, whether it be planting, pulling weeds, tilling, or harvesting please let us know!
We will have a variety of vegetables, herbs, spices, as well as flowers to donate to the food pantry. We will also have a compost pile going so we could have fresh fertilizer for the following years. As of now, we are planning on planting the following items: Sweet Corn, Potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Peppers, Tomatoes, Pumpkins, Beans, and Brussel Sprouts, and always have room for more items!
If you wish to help in any format we are always accepting more seeds or starts for the garden, volunteers for labor, or if you wish to give to the community garden, please reach out to Steve Christner or the office.
