Whether you are moving in from out of town, moving across town, or just looking for something new, we would like to invite you to visit us at one of our two locations. We are a warm, loving church family committed to solid biblical teaching located in Decatur and Madison, Alabama. If you are looking for a church family, we would like to invite you to come and visit. Perhaps you have already discovered that the area is blessed with many good, friendly, strong churches, making your decision even more difficult. We praise the Lord for what He is doing in our sister churches. Though our desire is that you visit with us, our prayer is that you find the church family where you and your family can be best served… and best serve.
Our Vision
In Matthew 28:19, Jesus clearly communicated the primary task for our church: Make disciples of all nations.
What does this look like in the daily life of someone who is a follower of Christ? Our prayer is that God would use the ministry of First Bible Church to help produce men, women, children, and students who are marked by biblical literacy, disciplined lifestyle, proven character, and authentic relationships.
We not only gather each week on Sunday; our goal is to equip people to live a fruitful Christian life Monday through Saturday. We want to see God change people’s lives, making them more like Christ in their attitudes and behavior. We want to see God glorified in marriages and families, in the workplace, and in our community. We believe this is only possible as people hear and apply what God has to say to them through His Word.
We also realize that such transformation does not happen by chance, nor does it occur in isolation. God has designed the church so that we encourage one another in this process of becoming more like Christ, challenging one another to continue growing in our love for Him.
